I am deciding between Battlefield 3 and EA Sports NCAA 2012. I recently finished Assassin's Creed 2 and love the AC story thus far. However, I'm back in college for spring semester, and don't have the time to dedicate to such an intricate story. Could the replay value of BF3 even touch that of a sports game like NCAA series? How is the replay value of Battlefield 3, specifically co-op?
Single player : OK
CO-OP - Good, wouldn't really play it more than once ( except for achievements )
Multiplayer - Amazing, especially for PC.How is the replay value of Battlefield 3, specifically co-op?
There is ZERO replay value in Battlefield 3's single player campaign, I haven't played Co-op yet but I imagine it's only worth a handful of playthroughs at most. The multiplayer, however, of BF3 has great replay value, just as good as any sports game. How is the replay value of Battlefield 3, specifically co-op?
It really depends on what you're into. BF3 has pretty good replay value, but it's not a game that you can play for hours on end by yourself. In fact, the whole BF series has been all about teamwork. It's a game you want to play with friends, definitely.
The co-op is fun, but there's only 6 missions (as of now, they may add more in DLC). If you don't have the DLC "Back to Karkand", you can unlock weapons for multiplayer by playing co-op and ranking up points.
The story is (like most BF games) very... Meh. It's good, but it's confusing as all hell.
Basically, here's my advice. If you have an Internet connection and can play online, get BF3. If you can't, get NCAA. The game is worth it for the MP alone, in my opinion.
Hope you have fun, no matter what your choice is!
Personally the replay value of BF3 specifically in co-op is not as great, unless you want the achievements. Multi-player is great though.
