Do you think they should have put fighter jets in Battlefield 3?

I like Battlefield 3, pre-ordered it, watched all trailers and gameplays, but don't think they should have put jets. Foot soldiers don't go in jets, and for jets, they have to make almost a different game. It looks cool and all, but I think they should have left it out. What do you think. Yes!!!! It wouldn't be BF3 without them!

I'm confused. You said "...and for jets, they have to make almost a different game." This game is a sequel to BATTLEFIELD 2 (released in 2005 which had also has jets and is still played by thousands of people).

This is NOT (thankfully) Battlefield Bad Company 3. This is the long awaited, anticipated sequel to Battlefield 2. Battlefield 1943 also has airplanes and is an awesome game. Trust DICE to know how to make it work, they have done this before.
Battlefield's 3 gaming experience has evovled into basically what you would call "real world situations" so i think that battlefield 3 really wanted to get the gamers attention by adding the jets to make this a much more realistic battle and to get the gamers grasp on what a battle would feel like.

I think you're right, but I'm hoping it just enhances the game experience. If it doesn't...well then that would be the first and only flaw of BF3 I've noticed so far. :)
